We build decks, we fix decks other people built wrong, and sometimes we tear one out and start over. Most of our customers grew up with a deck that was already there when they bought the house, and now it's their turn to deal with it. We got into this trade because framing work outdoors, where you can see the whole job from the yard, suits us better than being inside walls all day.
If you're on this page, chances are your deck feels spongy in one spot, the railing wiggles when you lean on it, or the boards have gone silver and rough. Soft decking almost always means water's gotten into the joists from underneath, and stain alone won't fix that. We pull boards to check the framing before we ever touch a paintbrush, because sealing over rotten wood just hides the problem for one more summer.
None of this is complicated. It is mostly just doing what we said we would do.
We're licensed and insured, so if something goes wrong on your property during the build, you're not the one holding the bag. Ask for certificates before we start, we'll have them ready.
We walk the site, measure spans, and check footing spacing before pricing anything. No verbal estimate that turns into a different invoice later.
The people framing your deck are the same people who come back to fix a squeak two years later. We don't hand the job off partway through.
Composite costs more up front but skips the yearly staining. Treated pine is cheaper and fine if you're willing to reseal it every couple of years, we'll tell you the tradeoffs straight.
Deck season books up fast in spring, so we give you a real start date and stick to it. If rain pushes a pour or a stain day, we call you, we don't just go quiet.
Deck screws left in the grass are how somebody's mower or bare foot finds them later. We sweep the site and haul scrap before we leave each day.
